5. Our Lawful Basis for Processing
Where UK GDPR applies, we must have a lawful basis for processing personal information.

5.1 Contractual Necessity
We process certain information because it is necessary to provide the services you request, including account management, authentication and multiplayer functionality.

Preventing cheating, abuse and fraudulent activity.
Enforcing community rules.

You may withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before consent was withdrawn.
6. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information where necessary with:
Hosting and infrastructure providers.
Website and database service providers.
Security and network protection providers.
Authentication providers.
Support and moderation personnel, where their role requires access.
Relevant third-party platforms where necessary to provide our services.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to comply with legal processes or to protect our users, services and infrastructure.
Access to personal information is restricted to individuals and service providers who need it for legitimate operational purposes.
6.1 Restricted Access to IP Addresses
IP addresses collected through our services are subject to additional access restrictions.
Access to IP addresses is restricted exclusively to authorised senior management personnel.
Other staff members, including standard moderators, community staff and support personnel, do not have access to IP addresses and cannot view this information through our internal systems.
Authorised senior management may access IP address information only where reasonably necessary for legitimate operational purposes, including:
Investigating serious security incidents.
Identifying suspicious or potentially fraudulent activity.
Investigating abuse, malicious connections or threats to our infrastructure.
Supporting serious moderation investigations where network information is relevant.
Responding to legitimate legal or regulatory requirements.
IP address information is not made available to staff members for routine moderation, general account administration or personal curiosity.
Access is restricted to authorised personnel and must be justified by a legitimate service-related requirement.
This restriction applies to internal staff access. Our hosting and infrastructure providers may separately process IP addresses where necessary to deliver and secure their services, subject to their own contractual and data protection obligations.
7. Data Storage and Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against:
Unauthorised access.
Accidental loss.
Unauthorised alteration.
Disclosure.
Destruction or misuse.
These measures may include access controls, authentication systems, restricted database permissions and appropriate security monitoring.
7.1 Restricted Internal Access
We apply role-based access restrictions to personal information held within our systems.
IP addresses receive additional protection and are accessible only to authorised senior management personnel where access is necessary for legitimate operational purposes.
Standard moderators, community staff and other personnel are not permitted to access or view IP address information.
We aim to ensure that access to sensitive information is limited to those who genuinely require it to perform their responsibilities.
Access to other personal information is also restricted according to staff responsibilities and operational requirements.
However, no online service or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Account Deletion and Data Retention
Users may request deletion of their DriverMP account through our available account management facilities or by contacting our support team.
Account deletion and the deletion of all personal information are separate matters.
When an account deletion request is processed, the account will be closed and information that is no longer required will be deleted or anonymised where appropriate.
However, certain information may be retained following account deletion.
8.1 Information That May Be Retained
Depending on the circumstances, we may retain:
Moderation history
Previous warnings, suspensions, permanent bans, reports and other relevant disciplinary records.
Hardware and device identifiers
Identifiers used to recognise devices, prevent ban evasion, identify repeat offenders and protect our infrastructure.
Security records
Relevant connection information, IP addresses and incident records where necessary for security investigations or the prevention of abuse.
8.2 Why We Retain This Information
We may retain certain records to:
Prevent users from circumventing previous bans.
Identify repeated violations of our community rules.
Protect other users and our multiplayer infrastructure.
Investigate security incidents and fraudulent activity.
Maintain appropriate moderation and enforcement records.
Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We will only retain information where we have an appropriate lawful basis and where continued retention is necessary for the relevant purpose.
8.3 Retention Following Account Deletion
Deleting an account does not automatically remove historical moderation records or all associated hardware and device identifiers.
Such records may remain within our systems after an account has been closed.
Retained information will be subject to appropriate access restrictions and will only be used for the purposes for which it is retained.
We will periodically review retained information and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer necessary.
We do not guarantee that all information associated with an account can be removed immediately upon an account deletion request.
This section does not remove or restrict your statutory rights under applicable data protection legislation. You may still submit a request for erasure, which we will assess individually.
9. International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers or infrastructure may be located outside the United Kingdom.
Where personal information is transferred internationally, we will take appropriate steps to ensure that the transfer complies with applicable data protection legislation.
This may include relying on adequacy regulations, appropriate safeguards or other legally recognised transfer mechanisms.
10. Your Data Protection Rights
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have the right to:
Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Rectification: Request that inaccurate or incomplete information is corrected.
Erasure: Request deletion of your personal information where applicable.
Restriction: Request that we restrict certain processing activities.
Objection: Object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests.
Data portability: Request certain information in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format where this right applies.
Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent where we rely on consent as our lawful basis.
10.1 Requests Following Account Deletion
You may request the deletion of personal information even after your account has been closed.
However, the right to erasure is not absolute.
In certain circumstances, we may have lawful grounds to retain particular information, including where it is necessary for security, fraud prevention, the establishment or defence of legal claims or compliance with legal obligations.
This may include certain moderation records and device identifiers used to prevent ban evasion.
We will assess requests individually and consider whether continued retention is justified.
If we cannot comply with all or part of a request, we will explain our decision where legally required.
We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.

DriverMP has a minimum age requirement of 13 years old.
Our services are not intended for or available to individuals under the age of 13.
By registering for or using our services, you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement.
We may take appropriate action where we become aware that an account belongs to someone under the minimum permitted age.
We recognise that users aged 13 to 17 are children for the purposes of data protection considerations.
We aim to handle their personal information responsibly and transparently, including providing understandable information about what we collect and why.
Children have data protection rights, including the right to request access to and, in certain circumstances, erasure of their personal information.
Requests involving children's personal information will be assessed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, taking into account the additional protections afforded to children.
If you believe someone under the age of 13 is using our services, please contact our support team.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services, data collection practices, technology or legal obligations.
